50-state pulls, prospect lists filtered to your ICP, longitudinal cohorts, market sizing and recurring deliverables. Most one-off pulls cost between $500 and $5,000. Recurring engagements run on monthly retainer.
Common questions
Where does the data come from?
The U.S. Department of Labor publishes Form 5500, 5500-SF, and 5500-EZ filings under ERISA. We download the bulk feed daily. We clean it and add peer benchmarks. The data is public. We make it readable.
What do I pay in the first month?
$4.99 for Solo or $24.99 for Team. After one month, the plan renews at the regular price: $34.99 a month for Solo, $99.99 a month for Team. We email you before the first full charge. The intro price applies once per team.
Can I cancel in the first month?
Yes. Cancel from your account billing page before the month ends and you pay nothing more. You keep access through the month you already paid for.
Can I search without an account?
Yes. Search, filters, and plan pages are open with no account and no monthly limit. A paid plan adds ten years of history, peer benchmarks, provider and welfare analytics, saves, PDF downloads, and CSV exports.
How many rows can I export?
Search-results CSV exports are capped per export, not per month: 10,000 rows on Solo, 50,000 rows on Team. The 20-row per-state sample CSV needs no account. The full per-state CSV needs Solo or Team.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Monthly billing, no contract, cancel from your account billing page. If you cancel mid-cycle you keep access through the period you already paid for.
What counts as a seat on the Team plan?
One seat per active user account on your team. Seats are pooled across the team. Invite or remove members from /account/team. The Team plan includes up to five seats.
Do you offer custom datasets or research?
Yes. We run custom research and ship custom datasets for advisors, brokers, recordkeepers, TPAs, consulting firms and private equity. One-off pulls cost between $500 and $5,000. Recurring deliverables run on monthly retainer. See /data/custom for examples or email hello@planoptica.com.
What if I need more than 5 or 10 state downloads per month?
Email us. Full per-state CSVs are a paid feature. Solo gets 5 distinct states a month and Team gets 10. For bulk needs, such as 50-state pulls, custom slices or recurring deliverables, use the custom analytics service at /data/custom. It runs on a fixed-price scope.
How fresh is the data?
We check the DOL bulk file each night. DOL republishes it about once a month. We rebuild the warehouse within a couple of hours of a republish. The index stays within one DOL release. New plan pages, providers and benchmarks arrive in that rebuild.
